NORWICH CITY: A beautiful city for so many reasons. Read about them on this link, and why some people reckon it’s on par with an Indonesian Island!

BURE VALLEY RAILWAY: Aylsham to Wroxham, or the other way round! Narrow gauge steam railway and the Norfolk Broads, a great combination.
BRESSINGHAM STEAM MUSEUM & BLOOMS GARDENS: Just a 10-15 minute drive from Rookery Nook, this is a fabulous mix of beautiful gardens, steam train rides, fascinating steam engine museum, Dad’s Army Collection and the not to be missed Gallopers (or carousel) like in Mary Poppins original film...go on be a kid again it’s great fun! By the way, for the geeky types, the difference between a carousel and gallopers is that gallopers go round clockwise, whilst carousel anti clockwise...who knew!
WALKS AROUND NORFOLK: These two website are an invaluable source of walks in all parts of Norfolk.
GOODERSTONE WATER GARDENS: I’ve lived in Norfolk for about 40 yers and hadn’t heard of this place until a guest of Rookery Nook mentioned it in their review. It is fabulous, a really relaxing beautiful place to visit. Including a delightful, simple but friendly cafe selling great warm sausage rolls and pasties with tea, coffee, cakes etc. (Don’t be put off by the slightly naff website!)
