TV free to view channels.
Guests often bring their Amazon FireStick.
The TV is NOT a smart TV.
5. Is there a radio?
Yes there is a digital radio in the kitchen
6. Is there a tumble dryer?
No. Clothes airer provided for drying washing.
7. Where can we find the keys
A key safe near the front door. The access number will be sent to you shortly before arrival.
8. What are the parking arrangements?
There is parking on the ‘in & out’ driveway specifically for guests (1 car), right next to the pedestrian gate that leads to Rookery Nook. Please park your car as close to the 5 bar gate as possible to enable easy flow of other vehicles. (The large gate is not used). We sell farm fresh eggs from our driveway so other members of the public do use the driveway. If you expect to have visitors arrive by car please consult with Carol & Phil as to where is best for them to park, although it is all fairly obvious and common sense once you’re here! Access to Rookery Nook is via the pedestrian gate to the right of the 5 bar gate, follow the path to the black front door.
9. Will additional information about the property be provided?
Yes. A full information folder is provided at the cottage with all manner of information about the property that will help you enjoy your stay.
10. Is there a freezer?
Yes - the kitchen has a fridge/freezer (fridge at the top).
11. What address should I give to supermarket deliveries?
Rookery Nook at Magpie Lodge, Walcot Green, Diss, Norfolk IP22 5SR
- Bed linen
- Towels & bath mat (one hand towel and one bath towel per person) and shower gel/shampoo/soap
- Dressing gowns
- Tea towels
- Electricity and heating
- Dish cloth, washing up liquid & dishwasher tablets
- Toilet rolls
- Hair dryer
- On arrival: Milk, tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, cooking oil, salt, pepper
2. What is NOT included?
- Laundry liquid/tablets/powder for the washing machine.
- Disposable BBQ that can be placed on the built in BBQ grill - this works just as well (sadly we found guests didn’t clean the built in BBQ after use)
- Charging of electric vehicles is not provided for nor included in the cost of your stay. The nearest known EV charging point is a 5 minute drive away at Tesco.
